Sunday 22nd April: Rehab 5-1 Hurricanes

Once again, another sterling performance from the rehab boys sealed an emphatic win on a day when the scoreline could have been a lot worse for the 'canes'. Not too much for the 'safe hands' to keep out, although a defensive blunder followed by an Irish jig of a save attempt marred an otherwise clean sheet. Goals from Bailey, Damo and a hatrick from the in-form Edge enabled the Rehab to take it easy a little and not to worry about chasing the game.

It would be fair to say that without the brothers Sanchez, Rehab are not feeling the full force of the Hurricane; but they did prove that they can handle the heat, with the first game of the season going their way too. Frustrations began to show towards the end of the game with Bez cursing a shot that was fingertipped just wide by Ward.

The Captain Yacoby evaluated the significance of the victory. "As I said before the game, every match is a cup final for us now and this was no different. We showed flair, passing ability and confidence however we did waste too many chances and the goal we conceded was sloppy. I still take nothing away from the lads performances though, they made me and Reddish proud today."

Sounds good and all that but lets see what happens when The 'Canes' talismanic midfielder Phil Sanchez is back. It'll be a gooden.
