In a nerve racking return after the winter break, Rehab had a point to prove; that they had not lost the blistering form from the end of last season. First blood went to the Hurricanes and this was starting to look like one of those days. Sloppy defence and a half arsed effort by Ward, between the sticks, allowed Bez to slide one home. But Rehab were not out yet. With Edge and Pierce on blistering form and Yacoby and Bais keeping it tight with Will Crook only occasionally giving the ball away they cruised to a 6-5 victory thanks to good a good attack, a solid defence and a couple of heroic moments in net.
